In the case of many players, they have cut their teeth and learned to play Texas Hold'em poker at some type of real-world location.  In playing in physical card games against other opponents that can be clearly seen across the table, the player can build up all manner of skills involving the ability to discern the emotional reactions of the player to the cards that they are dealt.  These skills can mean the difference between victory and defeat in the Texas Hold'em poker tournaments and cash games that are so popular in traditional brick-and-mortar institutions such as those casinos and poker rooms found in Las Vegas.  But playing in the online world takes a whole different set of skills than traditional poker.  While it might be important to determine what your opponent is about to do by the way they hold their cards, breathe or even blink, and online poker rooms and casinos, the player has none of these abilities available to them.

Depending solely upon the ability to play the cards as they are dealt and effectively leverage the rank of hands and manipulate the odds requires an entirely different skill set than the real-world counterpart, making it somewhat difficult to make the transition from traditional Texas Hold'em poker tournament games to the online version without some practice to help the player along.  By focusing on effectively maximizing the players ability to play the cards and make strong a hand work and knowing when to abandon weaker hands, the usual typical skill set of the poker player, the traditional Texas Hold'em tournament poker player can effectively compete in the online poker rooms and casinos just as well or better as they typically Kennedy and Texas Hold'em poker tournament real-world settings.

While the ability to read tells might be an advantage in the real world that the player loses, they also gain the ability to not give off tells, at least not the traditional emotional reactions that are plainly visible to other players that are associated with the physical appearance of your opponent.

Making the transition to the online world can be somewhat difficult for the traditional Texas Hold'em poker tournament player, but the rewards are so great that they almost cannot be ignored by professional Texas Hold'em poker tournament players who are interested in maximizing their incoming revenue stream.
