With the tremendous
popularity of online poker rooms and casinos, it would seem
somewhat odd that individual states would choose this late date to attack the
ability of players to generate income through the online poker rooms and
casinos, but this is exactly what has happened in recent months as more
individual states exercise their rights to restrict individuals from utilizing
the gaming and gambling options that exist in online poker rooms and casinos. In the case of most players, there is little more
than some penny ante wagering going on that is hardly considered detrimental to
the user or the local region in general.
While it might seem odd to those who are less than concerned about online poker
rooms and casinos in general, the rakeback sharing affiliate program that is so
popular at so many websites that feature gaming and gambling has come under
fire as a revenue sharing program that is technically prohibited by the United
States government. Due to the fact that
the rakeback
collected is in such small amounts, this issue has not come up in the
past. With recent developments, not to
mention the efforts by local politicians to get reelected, the rakeback
programs have come under fire by legislators and lawmakers in the individual
states across the nation who is less than enthusiastic about allowing these
types of industries to continue with business as usual.
