The Life of Sports Inc. University Poker Championship was launched successfully in the United Kingdom and throughout North America. Partners Life of Sports, Cakepoker.com and Pokerstars.com have teamed up to offer a weekly free roll tournament. Two tournaments will be open to any college student within the UK or within North America.
Participants in the UK Championship will be competing for a grand prize that awards free tuition for one year and a seat at the 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event in Las Vegas. A prize amount estimated at $12,000US.
The North American University Poker Championship grand prize winner will receive free and an expense paid trip to Europe, to play in a European Poker Tour event.
