According to PartyPoker.com, the third edition of the Party Poker Den set to kick off on Tuesday, September 30th and expected to run for 36 straight hours has already confirmed the presence of several big names in the international poker circuit, including the 1997 World Series of Poker $2,000 buy-in Pot Limit Hold’em bracelet winner David “Devilfish” Ulliott, 2002 WSOP $5,000 buy-in Pot Limit Omaha bracelet winner and proud member of Team Full Tilt Poker, Robert Williamson III, David Williams, runner up at the World Poker Tour’s Borgata Poker Open during Season III and at 2004 World Series of Poker Main Event and 2008 Irish Poker Open Champ, Neil Channing.

Other players expected to appear at the Party Poker Den III include Jon Kalmar, Roland de Wolfe, Anthony Hardy, Mike Matusow, Brian Townsend, Andrew Feldman, Phil Laak, Antonio Esfandiari, Kirk Morrison, Ian Frazer, John Tabatabai, Juha Helppi, Jennifer Tilly, and Chris Parker. At the same time, Party Poker will be represented by Bodo Sbrzesny, as well as a lucky online qualifier.

The Party Poker Den III will keep the same structure as other high-stakes cash games, each player will have to put up $10,000 from his/her pocket money, the only real difference is that blinds will remain the same ($25/$50) during the 36 hour of action. But regardless of this part, tournament director ‘Mad’ Marty Wilson would probably let players to raise the stakes during the 36 hours of play. In addition, select hands will award players $1,000 extra as part of a “Party Pot.”

Party Poker has been encouraging Phil Laak in his mission to remain seated and playing for 36 hours straight. A Party Poker spokesperson said “We’ve been told that Laak has spent all weekend mentally preparing for the game and that he intends to try and make television history and sit in the game for a record-breaking 36 hour stint! PartyBets.com was going to introduce betting on whether one of the top professionals could play the whole duration, but with others like Neil Channing also rumored to want to give it a go we are loathe to give them too much encouragement!”
