Venetian Casino Joins up with National Poker League

Although the name of the National Poker League prefers to the national portion of the National Poker League, it might need to add international as the national poker league begins to add more and more spots across the planet.  The newest and some would say an extremely aggressive poker organization; the National Poker League is aimed at younger players as well as some of the pros that are known to frequent such leagues.  The National Poker League intends to hold five events before the end of 2007, including the Vegas Open which is held at the Venetian Casino resort November twenty fifth through December second as well as the National Poker League world championship which will be held at the Venetian Casino resort on December third through the fifth.  Staff at the Venetian Casino resort was ecstatic to be part of the National Poker League and the site of the world championship tournament and the 2007 Vegas Open.

Kicking off on the 24th of November with a Poker Cares charity tournament, the National Poker League intends to build tremendous publicity and buzz by offering a series of steady tournaments and using celebrity poker player host Kirk Morrison, former World Series of poker winner and professional with over two and a half million dollars in lifetime winnings in tournaments as well as local Las Vegas radio disc jockey, Dave Farra.  Bringing the popularity of the two hosts to the National Poker League seems like a very good idea and is commonly used in hosting any new televised program, which the National Poker League will provide to viewers and all manner of locations around the world.

The National Poker League will be televised in a series 20 one hour-long shows on all manner of networks such as CBS affiliates, WGN in Chicago and the INHD network.  The episode will also be broadcast in Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, Greece, Italy, Germany, Spain, Brazil, Mexico and Canada as well as the United Kingdom and France.  The National Poker League is apparently the only series of poker news that is broadcast in high definition, a key talking point at the National Poker League website.

Adding any amount of publicity to the game of poker can only be good for those who play and those who enjoy seeing new players join the ranks of poker players around the world and competing in competition.
