What and Where are the Live Updates?

Live Updates are live coverage of poker tournament events, brought to you from around the globe, by our expert correspondents with an in depth knowledge of every official poker variation. Our reporters also relate the most accurate chip counts because of their many years of experience on both sides of the table. Instead of having to wait for a tournament to air on television you can read about who is playing, who got knocked out and who just doubled up as soon as it happens with our Live Updates . We’ll mention notable players as well as some of your hometown friends if you like. Just click on the “Live Reporter” to interact with someone in the field. You can also have your friend or family member attending the event contact us in the field so that we can make a not of him or her and keep you updated on their progress during a tournament.

Why can’t I post into the Forum?

The Forum is a FREE Member’s Only feature. Even though it is accessible from the main menu, it is for viewing purposes only. Just Login from the Home Page of PokerPressBox. Not a member? Click here to register.

How do I listen to Podcasts?

Podcasts can be accessed two ways. Simply click onto Podcasts from the menu bar and select the one you would like to listen to. If you have the iTunes application available on your desktop then open it to iTunes Music Store. Click on PodCasts. Search for PokerPressBox. You can register with iTunes to receive regular PokerPressBox podcast updates.

If you have clicked on a PodCast or Audio File and it does not play, be sure to update your Windows Media Player, Flash or Player 1 software. PokerPressBox does not currently support Quicktime.

Why won’t the Video play?

Just like any video stream, you need to have the proper software in order for it to play. Try updating your Windows Media Player, Flash or Player 1 software. Quicktime is not currently supported by PokerPressBox.

PokerPressBox.com takes customer support to a new level. Though we provide the usual method of contacting our administrative crew through Contact Us , Speak With a Live Reporter allows a reader to interact with the reporter in the field during live update coverage.

Our Live Reporters are experts in the poker industry. They have many years of experience on both sides of the table. Our reporters have in depth knowledge of every official poker variation. They have also had experience as dealers and tournament coordinators and directors. This gives PokerPressBox a unique edge against the competition.

What is the difference between Chat and Live Reporter?

PokerPressBox offers our Members the opportunity to Chat amongst themselves in our Chat Room. It’s just like Instant Messenger or AIM, except you don’t have to litter your desktop or worry about it interfering with your browser. Just Login as a FREE Member while you are in PokerPressBox.com. Click on chat, enter your user name and communicate with other members. If someone isn’t available you can leave a message in their mailbox for them to read when they log in again. Not a member? Click here to register.

The Live Reporter feature allows FREE Members to speak directly to one of our staff members online. During tournament Live Updates, while a reporter is in the field, you interact with one of our correspondents. If no one is available or you wish to be taken off hold, the Live Reporter will allow you to leave a detailed message. Someone from PokerPressBox will reply as soon as possible.

How do I open my own E-Mail Account with Poker Press Box?

PokerPressBox will be offering readers the opportunity to sport their own PokerPressBox.com E-Mail account. We’ll keep you up to date as to when this feature is available. Get your user name before someone else does!

How do I get my E-Mail to go straight to my Outlook, Outlook Express or MacMail.

You never have to log in and out of your new PokerPressBox E-Mail account. Just load it into your mail client. Unlike Yahoo or MSN mail you can have your messages sent directly to your inbox. Just enter the following information:

The Account type is POP

Enter your new PokerPressBox E-mail account. (your user name)@pokerpressbox.com

The incoming mail server is: mail.pokerpressbox.com

The user name should be your complete e-mail address. (your user name)@pokerpressbox.com.

Enter the password you used to open your account and would normally use to log in.

The outgoing mail server should be: mail.pokerpressbox.com:(user name)@pokerpressbox.com

That's all there is to it.

How do I submit an Article or News Item?

PokerPressBox FREE Members can submit articles and news items in two ways. Just Login from the main page and click on Submit Articles, then follow the instructions on the page. We’ll review it and contact you directly for any necessary changes to be approved by you. Once we have published it, you can access the article from the Poker Articles main menu button. There is a category for Articles Submitted by Readers. You might even see your article on the front page.

What is “Lightbox”?

Lightbox is located in the Gallery. It allows the user to select their favorite photos, podcasts or videos and easily save them to their desktop or image file. Simply click the Lightbox icon located above each photo or file. When you have completed your library, just scroll down to the bottom of any displayed page within the gallery and click the “View Your Lightbox”icon. Review your file and delete or add any images of your choice.

When you are finished creating your own library, and have completed the steps above, simply click on the “create zip file” option at the bottom of the page.

How do I update or submit my Player Profile?

Coming Soon! PokerPressBox FREE Members will be able to update their own profile. In the meantime, just send us a picture along with your hometown along with your accomplishments. Simply go to Contact Us if you aren’t already a member. If you are, you can give us your information inside the Submit Your Article feature available in the main menu bar when you have logged in. PokerPressBox will review the information before we post it in the Player section. You can also send us your biography.

How do I find a schedule of Upcoming Events?

PokerPressBox is continually updating information on Upcoming Poker Tournament Events . Simply click on the Upcoming Events button on the main menu. From there you will see a schedule of events calendar. You can browse by day, month or year.
