Phil “The Unabomber” Laak seeking challengers for Guinness endurance record

Professional poker player, Phil "The Unabomber" Laak will be looking to set a new Guinness World Record for the most hours of poker played in a single sitting, and to do so, Laak is inviting three lucky winners to fly to Las Vegas and play the heads-up endurance challenge.

There are three ways to win the flight, three nights accommodation and chance to step up against the “Unabomber” in a heads-up cash game. First, players can enter a special $50 buy-in tournament available at UnabomberPoker.com and running on Thursday May 27th at 6pm PST. There will be no prize pool so all buy-ins will be refunded to player accounts, making it a completely free chance at the prize.

The second prize package will be awarded to the person who sends the best 100-250 words text explaining why they should get a chance to play against a sleep deprived Unabomber. Players must send their submissions to blog@unabomberpoker.com before May 27th.

The third prize will be awarded to the winner of a random draw among all real money Unabomber Poker players. To be eligible, players must have an active real money account on UnabomberPoker.com by May 27th.

The challenge will take place at the famous Bellagio Poker Room in Las Vegas, starting on June 2nd. Laak will be looking to break the world's poker endurance record of 78 straight hours set by Paul Zimbler at the 2009 World Series of Poker Europe.

Laak will donate half of the money he wins to Camp Sunshine, an non profit organization dedicated to provide respite, support, joy and hope to children with life-threatening illnesses and their immediate families through various stages of a child's illness.
