Canadian Poker Tour announces 2010 Canadian Open Poker Championships

HeadsUp Entertainment International Inc., owner and operator of the Canadian Poker Tour (CPT) and Canadian Poker Player Magazine are pleased to announce details of its premier poker event, the 2010 Canadian Open Poker Championship.

The tournament series will feature a total of 13 events held over 11 days (August 19th to 29th) at the Grey Eagle and Cash Casino in Calgary, AB. Once again this year, the series will feature a $5,000 heads up main event. This event has attracted poker pros and celebrities from around the world in prior years and this event looks to attract more than ever. Last year’s player list included World Series of Poker bracelet winner and UB.com sponsored pro Phil Hellmuth, Gavin Smith, Huckleberry Seed, Antonio Esfandiari, Mike Matusow, “Yukon” Brad Booth and Greg Mueller. In previous years, Jennifer Tilly, Phil Laak and Joe Hachem have all attended and bragged about the player friendly structure with many commenting that it is the premier heads up event in the world.

Winners of all events will receive a special Canadian Open Championship ring that has been designed and produced by Intergold, a Calgary company which also produces the championship rings for the Stanley Cup, the NBA Finals and the Superbowl champions.
