Canadian Poker Tour teams up with LIPS Tour to promote the Canadian Ladies Open Poker Championship

HeadsUp Entertainment International Inc., owner and operator of the Canadian Poker Tour (CPT) and Canadian Poker Player Magazine have signed a partnership with Ladies International Poker Series (LIPS) to promote the upcoming Canadian Ladies Open Poker Championships.

The $550 buy in tournament will take place Sunday August 22, 2010 at the Deerfoot Inn and Casino starting at noon and is expected to sell out the maximum 250 player field. The Canadian Ladies Open Poker Championships is one of the 11 events at this years Canadian Open Poker Championship Series in Calgary.

"The partnership with the LIPS tour is a great affiliation for both companies as exposure of our national championship to female players around the world will enhance all elements we have built into this event'" stated HeadsUp President and CEO Kelly B. Kellner.

Professional poker player Lacey Jones, "Face of the CPT" will host and represent both LIPS and the CPT during the Canadian Ladies Open Poker Championship.
