888.com subsidiary and Harrah’s Interactive Entertainment launch new WSOP free play online poker room

Harrah’s Interactive Entertainment, owner of the World Series of Poker, is joining forces with 888.com subsidiary Dragonfish,to launch a free play WSOP site for U.S based players, as well as several new products aimed at the UK market.

The offering is part of Dragonfish's agreement with Harrah's Interactive Entertainment (HIE), and follows the successful launch of a real money WSOP-branded site to UK customers.

The new free-to-play WSOP online poker game for U.S based players is available at www.WSOP.com. The game will provide the WSOP brand with a useful and valuable customer acquisition channel in anticipation of the legalization of online poker in the U.S. WSOP online poker game uses Dragonfish's newly designed Poker 6 software upgrade, which provides an improved look and feel, along with a selection of features in the main and tournament lobby

Dragonfish is also working on a new real-money WSOP Casino offering to the UK market, followed by an additional Harrah's casino brand and separate bingo brand in the future. Harrah’s will continue expanding its Caesars brand in the UK, with the launching of a new Caesars branded casino to complement its existing Caesars bingo offering. The new Caesars online casino will be launched in partnership with Jackpotjoy owner Gamesys, which also provides the Caesars bingo platform.
